Abrams made up the band and then as a bit of viral marketing for "Fringe" had an actual vinyl LP produced by someone somewhere (which he won't reveal), then distributed the albums to indie record shops (how many and where he won't say) where fans of "Fringe" could have fun with a treasure hunt looking for the albums at their local indie record shop and pretending it was an actual old LP by a real band when it is an actual new LP by a fake band."
